Envy
Suspension & Race Consultants is the brainchild of renowned
shock specialist Kirk Loudy. Established in 2007 and located
in Rogersville, Tennessee, Envy Suspension works with a plethora
of Super Late Model, Crate Late Model, and Open Wheel Modified
teams to make their racecars handle better and go faster. Currently,
Envy Suspension specializes in shock sales, re-valving, and
shock repair associated with Integra Racing Shocks, Ohlins Shocks,
AFCO Racing Shocks, and Genesis Racing Shocks.
To assist "Captain Kirk" in providing his clientele
with the best possible service, Envy Suspension has several
top notch dynos in-house. Currently, our equipment includes
a Roehrig 3vs Shock Dyno, Roehrig 10vs Shock Dyno, and Roehrig
Stand Alone Spring Dyno. In addition to providing shock sales
and service to his clients, Kirk also has consulting programs
that he can tailor to each race team to fit their needs.
Before he started Envy Suspension & Race Consultants back
in 2007, Kirk spent the better part of fifteen years as a crew
member, crew chief, and car chief with several different race
teams and in several different racing avenues. He cut his teeth
with his Auto Mechanics teacher Bobby Edens in 1991 where they
won the track championship at the Kingsport (TN) Speedway and
finished second in points at the Volunteer (TN) Speedway.
From there, Kirk worked for some of the best Dirt Late Model
drivers in the country including Kevin Roderick, Scott Bloomquist,
Charlie Swartz, Tony Izzo, Jr., Rick Aukland, Brian Birkhofer,
and Ray Cook. With "Captain" turning the wrenches
and preparing shock packages, he was a part of back-to-back
'World 100' victories with Scott Bloomquist and Brian Birkhofer
in 2001 and 2002. Other big wins on his resume include the $100,000
'Dream 100' and the $100,000 UMP Summer Nationals Championship.
On the asphalt side of things, Kirk was a car chief in 1997
for Phelon Motorsports and Trans Am Series driver Tony Ave.
That job later turned into a Craftsman Truck Series team with
Brian Reffner and Kirk once again served as the car (truck)
chief. In the winter of 1997, he was hired by Joe Gibbs Racing
upon the expansion to add Tony Stewart to the team. Kirk later
assumed the car chief duties for Bobby Labonte's Busch team.
To cap off his industry and shock experience, "Captain"
also worked for AFCO Racing Products as a product development
engineer. As you can see, Kirk has acquired a wealth of knowledge
from his varied racing background and this translates into speed
for his clientele. Instead of guessing what works, let Kirk
help you get into Victory Lane!
